Every month independent jury of “Sovremennaya AZS” magazine chooses the best petrol station. The sites they pick always differ from each other: some of them are appreciable for their bright and interesting design, others – for their high functionality, and many – for combining these two indexes perfectly. It makes it even a greater pleasure to admit that five of this year eleven winners are VDS Company stations. Among them: multifunctional filling complex “Belorusneft-Orgneftehim” # 49 with its breathtaking unusual and innovation design, V-shaped petrol station “LUKOIL” in Sestroretsk, TNK-BP “pilot” filling complex in Kiev, “Belorusneft-Minskavtozapravka” “bird”-complex # 7 and, finally, super modern “Tuann-Service” complex in Tyumen. VDS contribution to these victories is manufacturing of RVI production for the sites and art design development three of them.
Today this honorable list is enlarged with one more work of ours. The winner of December “AZS of the Month” contest is LUKOIL filling station located in Polish town Lodz and exploitable by the LUKOIL Polska Sp. z o.o. – Russian oil company’s branch enterprise.
Crucial role in determining the best station of December was probably played by the nostalgia of the times, known to us only from the old movies. One will agree that good old American cars, even older petrol pump, a restaurant made in the mixed style of the Middle West and the 60s can win hearts of the strictest jury. And the fact that the filling station is made in the corporate standards and colors of Russian “LUKOIL” does not ruin the unusual effect – seems that the object, which is not yet a year old, is lost in time.
The best filling December complex was built in 3 months time (from February till April) and started to operate in May 2008. General contractor is General Petrol company (Lodz Polska), VDS Company has produced corporate identity elements. For the first time in Poland the restaurant under legendary brand “Route 66” was opened. The restaurant design project and its realization were performed by VDS Company and Reingard Design. The creators have managed not only to place original restaurant on the territory of the filling station, but to deliver the spirit of the America of the 60s.
In technical respect the filling station yields to no other modern station despite to it retro stylization. Besides the restaurant and the filling station itself, the following services are available at the complex: pumping compressor, parking, c-store with wide range of essential goods, including car goods and oils, Internet access. The outdoor playground is also arranged for the children.
