All the works under "LUKOIL-Tsentrnefteprodukt" floating filling station were finished before September, 30th. The station is constructed under the new project and fully corresponds to the corporate style of the Russian oil company. VDS Company is draft design developer and RVI products manufacturer for the project.
In 2006 «Sredne-Nevski Shipbuilding Factory» won the petrol station construction bidding, and now, after the station has been built, it stays on the territory of the factory in order to be set in operation with the beginning of the navigation season at the place of permanent location, which is the central basin yacht-club.
The non-self-propelled floating fuel station (NFFS) is specially designed to work only with small size vessels and will sell two kinds of fuel: diesel and fuel with octane # 95, which will be delivered from the nearest tank farms. Minimarket will also work on the station.
Recently, due to the development of the inland shipping branch and sweeping growth of number of private small size vessels, the given segment becomes more and more attractive to the players on oil products market. The first floating filling station "LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhsknefteprodukt" has been in operation since 2001. There are plans to build two more NFFS in 2009: "LUKOIL-Volganefteprodukt" and "LUKOIL- Nizhnevolzhsknefteprodukt ". Besides, two more stations are on the design stage in St.-Petersburg at the moment, both meant for dual water/land operating.
