Each year December 1 is the day when VDS Company celebrates its birthday – this year 14th one. The 9th edition of corporate newspaper “Life of VDS”, which has covered all major events which took place in the Company during past six months, has came out just before this solemn date. The offices themselves has got all “dressed up” too – the walls where decorated with the collection of photographs revealing VDS history and past year events. The key festive activities were held in Russian and Belarusian offices on November 27 and 28.
Chairman of the Board Mr. Alexander Artyuhovich has taken the floor at the solemn meeting organized for employees of the Company at the Factory in Minsk. Mr. Artyuhovich has thanked the team for their hard work, reviewed the results of VDS activities, as well as shared the perspectives and plans for the future.
“Our Company has become one year older, one more year we have lived together! – he said. – The 2008 was quite successful for VDS. We managed to strengthen our positions on different not connected to one another markets of Kazakhstan and Ukraine, Poland and Russia, the Baltic countries and Belarus. A great deal was done in the organization of sales and production… With joy I can admit that VDS products can be easily compared to those of leading European. Such products’ quality is undoubtedly the result of the Company’s collective high professional level and well-coordinated work”.
He has also noted that VDS Company will continue further movement towards establishment of the enterprise of true European level.
After his speech, the word was given to the Company’s honorary guest, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Space Pilot Mr. Georgie Grechko. Mr. Grechko has told the audience about his life, his roots, family, about the space flights. His story was accompanied with the demonstration of the photographs from his private archives.
In conclusion, Director of VDS Factory, Mr. Boris Volfovskiy has also congratulated Company’s workers with this special date and presented departments with memorable souvenirs, and the most outstanding employees – with the certificates of gratitude for their ponderable contribution to the Company activities.
