VDS Company. Cafe-restaurant "Route 66" in Lodz (Poland).

Fast food restaurants, reasonably priced cafes, located on the territory of petrol stations are very popular in the world today. They attract larger amount of the clients and therefore – contribute to the income growth.

According to Euromonitor.com data only 40 % of the incomes from filling stations in the Western countries belong to fuel sales, when other 60 % are formed from so-called “non-fuel” sales – the profit received from convenience stores, cafes, snack-bars, car washes and other services. In the effort to gain more competitive bonuses service stations owners and investors of brand c-stores and restaurants located at the sites. Thus, the first of the restaurants from the net under the brand “Route 66” was opened in Lodz (Poland) at LUKOIL filling station in September.

“Route 66” is a family oriented cafe-restaurant, located at petrol station, where one can find good food, fast and cheap services available not only during the long road trip, but simply on the way to the work. Famous road “Route 66”, the symbol of America of the 1920s, was chosen to be the theme for the brand. Built in the beginning of the 20th century, it has connected the East and the West of the vast country, run through 8 states from Chicago to Los Angeles, and its full length made up to almost 4 000 km.

VDS Company has developed the brand and visual identification for the net of the roadside service objects “Route 66”. The idea of the creation of such net belongs to Mr. Dmitri Reingard. The complete design of the restaurant is performed in a bright “American” manner – there is a lot of neon and colorful striped awnings. Parked old fashioned American automobile and petrol pump a-la the 1950s add a touch of completeness to the image.
